U.S. Provincial Team HOPES in August, 2012

 

As we began to focus more specifically on our direction for the next period of time, we brainstormed what we hope for the province in the next three years. These hopes included:

• to organize the Canada-US Province with a focus on mission

• to enhance the province’s communication efforts for mission, ensuring that it is clear, direct and transparent

• to ensure a strong financial base for mission to renew our way of life in such a way that responds to the 21st century needs of our world rooted in the strength of our spirituality

• to create a process for the province and collaborators’ participation that is inclusive, clear and sensitive to time and ministry constraints.

 

From our two weeks of planning together, three big issues emerged that we have begun to address immediately:

• Re-creating our way of connecting to each other as a province, including our new dimension of being connected with Canada as one province

• Looking forward ten years, developing a more sustainable way of governance and accountability for mission in Sacred Heart schools

• Developing a new plan for vocation ministry
